Children of the Promise (COP), a Christian fellowship group for special needs children and young adults, grades 3 and up has been created. There will be fun, games, crafts, all centered around sharing and teaching the love of Jesus.  Summer meeting times are the first and third Fridays from 7:00 to 8:30.  Volunteers are very welcome.  For further information speak with Pastor Chris or Vicki at SMART_OneInc@msn.com

Hey, buddy, can you spare some extra craft material?  Children of the Promise, COP, a Christian fellowship group for special needs children and young adults is in need of craft supplies. Just bring them to the church office, marked COP supplies.  They are also looking for volunteers to come and work with the kids. Thanks be to God for our partnership with Lutheran Family Services and their Summer Enrichment Camp for autistic children. Lord Jesus, we lift up before You all those families who love and care for individuals with special needs.  We ask that You would give them loving, caring, patient hearts. Guide them in the decisions they must make.  Lead them to find trustworthy, suitable and stable places of respite and care so that the caregivers might be refreshed. Strengthen their marriages and relationships. Open up your hearts to tend to, care for and minister to these families, that not one be left behind, not one excluded from Your love and Your church.  In Jesus name we pray.  Amen.
